Enter the Enterprising Rural Woman Awards 2014

Entries are now open for the Enterprising Rural Women Awards 2014, offering women running small rural businesses the opportunity to boost their profiles and gain recognition for their achievements.There are four award categories in 2014:Love of the Land;Help! I need somebody; Making it in Rural; Stay, Play Rural. To enter the awards, women have to own and operate a small business with less than 10 full time equivalent staff, based in a rural area. The business must have been running for at least two years.

The Bay of Islands Singers at Waimate North

The Bay of Islands Singers will perform celebratory and sacred music in the church of St John the Baptist at Waimate North, recognising 50 years of choral singing in the Far North. Michael Bell will accompany the choir on the organ, and there will also be trumpets and drums. Two performances - 3.00p.m. and 6.00p.m.
Adults $15, students (under 18) $5.

KOAST - Kerikeri Open Art Studios Trail

More than 45 Kerikeri artists will open their studios to the public for the first time.
Kerikeri Open Art Studios Trail Inc. invites the public to visit artists’ workshops, view and purchase art, talk to artists about their work.
The Trail will feature Artist-in-Residence studios plus three group venues for local artists without home studios, including guest artists from around Northland.
The KOAST Art Trail Guide will be available on our website and at local sponsoring businesses in early October.
