Salute the ANZACS

Salute the ANZACS

The Bay of Islands Singers present a tapestry of music and words reflecting the times of the Great War in the Turner Centre Kerikeri on Sunday 3 May at 2.30. The choir will be accompanied by a small instrumental ensemble, and conducted by John Jackets. Music includes Requiem by John Rutter, in which the soprano soloist is Tommi Skipage,readings and reflective music, and Tunes from the Trenches. Adults $28, students (under 18) $12.

Expore Paihia Half Marathon

Starting from the Copthorne Hotel in Waitangi the Explore Paihia Half Marathon course takes you along Paihia waterfront through Waitangi and the stunning Haruru Falls bush track. When you pass the Waitangi Golf course on Tau Henare Drive you are wowed by the magical views of the Bay of Islands.

With our new 12km course those who do not wish to tackle the half marathon will simply head through the Haruru Falls Track around the back roads and back to the Copthorne. Both courses involve a taste of everythi
